Old Vintage Magazine Illustrated Special Memorial Issue 1952

Magazine Illustrated Special Memorial Issue 1952

This old magazine is in a good condition considering its age, 58 years old and all 35 pages are fine. The vintage magazine cover shows some signs of age with some wear to the spine and some very small rips mainly on the back cover.

The magazine is a special memorial issue, a record in words and pictures of the solemn journey of King George the Sixth to the sanctuary of Kings at Royal Windsor. This old magazine contains the following news articles:
  • A King is Laid To Rest.
  • The Kings Farewell To Sandringham.
  • The Lonely Women Mourn
  • Days Of Homage.
  • London's Last Tribute.
  • The Capitals March Of Sorrow.
  • Windsor: Sepulchre Of Kings.
  • Kings And Commoners.
  • Earth To Earth.
The magazine is a tribute to King George The Sixth, a much loved monarch and whose death left a nation in mourning. Reading the articles shows how popular the King was amongst his people and what a sad day it was when he passed away.

Inside are many old adverts, I guess life goes/went on and they include:
